2009 DTC Time Trial Results
The two practice runs boded well for the 2009 Time Trial: Kerry had her new high viz jacket and was able to cope with the logistics of having to travel the slightly further distance to the finish from the start on the revised 10 mile course; and Jim set a blistering time of 23mins 57secs on his first run on the course – which still remains the course record.

Unfortunately with monsoon season hitting Repton it seemed to rain nearly every Tuesday either just before or during the Time Trial making it not quite the enjoyable Summer evening training it was meant to be. Having said this it did not stop many people taking part in the Time Trial (Hayden Smedley was there every single week) and the leagues were not decided until the last week of riding.

The ladies league was won by NAOMI WARR with the ladies record held by JACKIE BULL in 27mins.  Going into the last race both John Manning and Ed Walters were level on 38 points in the men’s sub 28min league but with JOHN MANNING winning the final run he was topped the league with 40 points. A similar battle raged in the over 28min league with Nick Pape, Adam Harries & Chris Keegan all capable of winning the league but ultimately ADAM HARRIES claimed the top spot.

Thanks to Kerry for turning up every week and doing the time keeping.

DTC now has a membership of around 200, comprised of both senior and junior triathletes.

We provide coaching in all four of triathlons disciplines (including transition).  We hold both regular sessions (i.e. weekly) and other sessions on a more ad-hoc basis.  We use several venues in and around the city of Derby for our training sessions.
