We train all year round making best use of the facilities available to us, following a Summer and Winter training schedule
Summer (April – September)

When outdoor light levels are sufficient we move to the Summer training plan and meet outdoors on the fields behind Etwall Leisure Centre, beyond the 3G Football pitches and Tennis Courts. Sessions follow a repeating 5 week pattern of RUN/RUN/BIKE/BIKE/TRANSITION so Juniors will need a bike and helmet for 3 out of 5 sessions.
No bike, no problem. We continue to offer a swim only session for 60 minutes to cater for anyone carrying an injury that is preventing running/cycling or unable to bring a bike!
Remember, helmets are mandatory for any bike session and should be worn at all times when riding, including to and from the session

We run at Moorways track during the winter months (unless icy/frosty ground conditions). Many parents choose to take part in the adult session whilst the juniors are training to keep warm!
Etwall Leisure Centre swim continues into the winter and we split the pool between adults and juniors (3 lanes each)

Swimming
Thursday 19:00-20:00 October – April (Except Bank Holidays & pool closures)
Etwall Leisure Centre Pool, Etwall, Derby
To attend this session swimmers must be able to swim 100 meters freestyle without stopping.
After the first 10 minutes this will be assessed by the coach.
Please note that juniors will be limited to 18 (three lanes). Adults may be swimming in the other lanes.
Running
MIN AGE: 8 years old in the current calender year.
Wednesday 19:00-20:00 – WINTER ONLY (Oct-Mar)

Thursday 18:00-20:00 – SUMMER ONLY (Apr-Sep)

To attend this session swimmers must be able to swim 50 meters freestyle without stopping.
This will be at the discretion of the coach after assessment.
18:00-20:00 – 13 years and over
18:45-20:00 – 8-12 years (this means the child will be 8 at some point this year)
First half of session Bike or Run (5 week rotating pattern of run/run/transition/bike/bike), followed by second half in the 25m pool for swim training.
Outdoor sessions are all Weather Permitting
