Monday 19:30-20:30 – ALL YEAR (Except Bank Holidays & pool closures)

To attend this session swimmers must be able to swim 100 meters freestyle without stopping.
After the first 10 minutes this will be assessed by the coach.
MIN AGE: 9 years old
Wednesday 19:00-20:00 – WINTER ONLY (Oct-Mar)

Thursday 18:00-20:00 – SUMMER ONLY (Apr-Sep)

To attend this session swimmers must be able to swim 50 meters freestyle without stopping.
This will be at the discretion of the coach after assessment.
18:00-20:00 – 12 years and over
19:00-20:00 – 8-11 years (this means the child will be 8 at some point this year)
Bike or Run (alternating, check events or e-mail) then Swim : Weather Permitting
Membership & Costs
It costs £17.50 to become a DTC Junior Member (click here to join) and each one hour session costs £4 (£6 non-members); a two hour session costs £6 (£8 non-members)
A parental agreement form will have to be completed by parents/guardians prior their children taking part. A register will be taken each week of those attending and it is expected that parents/guardians will leave and collect their children at the stated time. Children will remain with the coach until a child is collected.

Derby Mercury has an active junior section and for the youth age group there are regular road trips out with more experienced cyclists. Go to the Derby Mercury Road race Club for further details.
Cycle Derby are putting on a series of training session in Chellaston on a Monday evening. It does clash with the swimming at Mickleover, but for those who are not swimming it something to consider.
Derby Athletic Club – Tuesdays/Thursdays and Sunday mornings.
Cyclo Cross (winter)
Notts. and Derby Cyclo Cross league. During the winter these are races usually on a Saturday afternoon for all ages. They are lapped races and off road, great for learning bike handling skills, something all triathletes need to be good at.
There is also the West Midlands Cyclo Cross League which have their races on a Sunday.

East Midlands Triathlon Series
The East Midlands Triathlon Race Series provides a number of races for juniors each summer which DTC juniors tend to target. You may end up being selected to represent the East Midlands at the Inter Regional Championships in September if things go well!! This is a chance to compete against other regions in the country. It is open for those athletes 11-14 years.
