Back in 2001 long term club members Jim Cresswell (joined DTC 1991) & Pete Jackson (joined DTC 1992) took over the running of the Derby Triathlon and punishing events was formed.  Today punishing events succesfully organises Ashbourne Duathlon, Blithfield Sprint/Olympic Triathlon, Derby Triathlon and Carsington Duathlon.

Today both Jim and Pete as individuals and through punishing events provide a great deal of support to the Club and in turn the Club provides marshalls to at Ashbourne, Carsington and Derby Tri to ensure the smooth running of the events.
