British Triathlon Federation
British Triathlon is a Federation, whose members are the three Home Nation's Associations of Triathlon England, triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon. British Triathlon is the governing body of triathlon in the UK and is responsible for matters such as the Great Britain Elite, Age Group Teams, British and International events, Anti-Doping and International Representation. British Triathlon also manages a number of services that are shared with the three Home Nations.
Benefits for the Club
- The club can count on support from their Home Nation's staff and regional development manager. This is especially useful when a club wants to develop to Clubmark or Starmark status, make a club development plan, set up a junior section etc.
- Club members will pay a reduced fee for individual membership with Triathlon England or Welsh Triathlon.
- Publication on the British Triathlon and Home Nation website and in the annual handbook.
- Up to £5 million Public Liability Insurance which includes claims arising from club activities while at home or abroad, social functions/ meetings, sporting activities of triathlon, duathlon and related multi-sport activities which are formed from a combination of swimming, cycling and running.
