Welcome! If you are interested in triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon or any combination of swimming, biking and running that you can imagine then you have come to the right place. At Derby Triathlon Club (DTC) we aim to provide a fun and friendly environment for you to pursue your multisport ambition. That ambition could be learning to swim non-stop for 400m so that you can you compete in your first pool based triathlon; improving your all round performance to post a personal best at you next open-water Olympic triathlon; gain qualification to the European or World age group championships; or to the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. Whatever your age, level of fitness or current ability then we would love to see you at DTC and help you along the way.

2009 has been a great year for the Club. We have seen our membership growing all year and with our team of great coaches and enthusiastic and passionate members we have delivered regular coached swim sessions, a series of training triathlons in the summer, a series of multisport training activities in the winter, our own 10 mile training cycle time-trial, and we also host and run the Derby Double Duathlon and the Derby Junior Triathlon one of the largest junior triathlon’s in the country. In addition to this we refreshed our race kit, introduced a new range of leisurewear and cycle tops and purchased a new Club shelter - oh yes and we musn’t forget this new website. If this wasn’t exhausting enough our members have had a full season of racing which was topped off by Derby Triathlon Club once again becoming National League Champions.

Every year Punishing Events (a Club sponsor) put on the Derby Triathlon which is one the biggest pool based triathlons in the country which is usually dominated by people taking part in their first triathlon as well as Derby Triathlon Club members who both race and provide the marshalls for this event.

Whether you are a complete novice, a seasoned racer, a coach looking for a new challenge or you would just love to get involved in triathlon please have a look around our site and see what we can offer.
